Why was my card charged twice?
You'll often see two entries — a temporary authorization and the actual charge. The authorization drops off automatically.

When you book, your bank may place a temporary authorization on the booking amount. When the pro accepts, their payment provider takes the actual charge — and the original authorization releases on its own within 1-7 days depending on your bank.
How to tell
- Authorizations are usually labeled "pending" in your banking app.
- The real charge shows the pro's business name, or their payment provider's.
- Only one will become a real charge on your statement.
